Funeral services for Vivian R.

Fritz were held Monday afternoon

at the Maplewood Lutheran

Church with the Rev. Norman

Levang officiating. Fritz, 72, died

Friday, June 20, 1986, at his farm

home in Lida Township.

Mrs. Myrtle Drayton was or-

ganist for the service and Everett

and Rhoda Johnson sang a duet.

Pallbearers were Melvin Drayton,

Emil Drayton, Wilbert Schultz,

Dave Stetz, Ted Solien and Les

Satter. Burial was in the church

cemetery.

Vivian Russel Fritz was born

September 5, 1913, in Lida Town-

ship, a son of Theodore Fritz, Sr.,

and Nellie Brown Fritz. He attend-

ed District 189 school and was in

the service during WWII. After

the war, he bought the home farm

and had lived and farmed there

since. He married Frieda Burke on

November 23, 1964. She died Nov-

ember 27, 1972.

He is survived by a stepson,

Horst Truestedt of Pine Island,

Minnesota; and by a brother,

Duane Fritz of Glenwood, Iowa.

He also leaves two step-grand-

daughters and three aunts: Hulda,

Sarah and Louisa Brown.

He was preceded by his parents,

his wife, and by three brothers:

Bernhard, Carlton and Ted Jr.
