Larry was born March 1,1948 in Barnesvile, MN at his grandparents home. Living near his grandparents
for the first 7 years. He gave them many memories in those first 7 years of his life. He
started school at Barnesville, MN school system. 1955 the family moved to Greeley, CO. He attended school there for the next 3 years. Attended school for several months in 1968 in Barnesville again and then back to CO till the 8th grade. The 9th grade in the McCook schools, then finishing his junior high and High school in Grand Island, NE. Joining the Air Force right out of high school. He spent time his Air force time in Texas for training, Ti wain for 15 months, finishing out his time in Louisiana. During his stay in Louisana he met his wife Judy Ann Claruis, daughter of John and Bonnie Clarius of Pinville, LA They were married in the Catholic church in Pineville in 1969. Lived in Alexandria, LA till discharge in 1970. Larry and Judy had two children; Nancy Lynn was born in 1970 in Louisiana. David Wayne was born in 1973 in Lincoln, NE They moved to Nebraska in 1970 after his discharge when he attended the University of Nebraska in Lincoln, NE getting a degree in Animal Science. He worked for a vet while attending school. He graduated and went to work on a farm near Kearney, later moving to a horse ranch in Geneva, NE They found this wasn't he life they wanted, so he returned to school for another year-getting his teaching degree. They moved to Holdrege, NE and Larry began teaching at Wilcox, NE School. He taught for 10 years. It was during this time that he bean to write about horses and had a monthly story in a magazine in Oklahoma. After 10 years teaching at Wilcox they decided to move to Oklahoma so he could write full item, but this didn't work out, so after one year they made the move to Arkansas and he began teaching again. He taught many years in Lamar, AR. He also wrote for many magazines, did research, raised horses. He had two book published by 1998. Judy worked at the Ford Garage in Holdrege for some time. She started to work for J.C, Penney's in Holdrege. She has been able to transfer with each move. Judy did research on her family history And enjoyed crafts |
