This Abraham is not proven. Research done by Bud Bogardus Abram or Abraham Garrison married Maryje(Maria or Mary) Brouwer on June 5th, 1761. Her baptism 12 May 1734 Sch. RFD, daughter of William Brouwer and Rebecca Vetter. With regard tot he Abraham Garrison who married Jane Francisco (B. Oct 29,1765, d/o John Francisco and Alida Doremus). I believe he is the son of Abram/Abraham Garrison and Maryje(Maria or Mary) Brouwer bp Sch RFD, 12 May 1734 d/o Willem Brouwer and Rebecca Vedder), although I could not find his date of birth or baptism. Abraham & Maria Brouwer also had Rebecca,bp 18 Mar 1764 at R DC of Stone Arabia, Montgomery Co. NY, Annatje, bp 24 June 1766 same place;possibly Henry bp 9 Nov 1768(can't find proof). Maria, bp 24 Set 1769 RDC Stone Arabia; and Willem, bp 4 Apr 1774 at Caughnawaga RDC, Fonda, NY. Abraham and Maris were married at the R DC of Stone Arabia on 5 June1761. From another correspondent Abraham and Mairs Brouwer are shown to have had a child Rachel, b 1762. Abraham b. Oct 29,1763, who married Jane Francisco on Feb 4, 1782 and John b. Sept 29, 1764. There is a published account of the Garrison family in Vol30(1876) of New England Historical and Genealogical Register. pp 418-421 Wiliam Brouwer who married Rebecca Vedder was the son of Willem Hendricks Brouwer of Schenectady and his wife Elisabeth Drinckvelt. This Brouwer family was unrelated to the lines of decent of Adam Brouwer Berchoven and his wife Magdalena Jacobs Verdon. Willem's daughter, Maria who married Abraham Garrison is sometimes shown in some records as being the wife of Michael Lampman or Lantman but this is in error as it was another Maria married to him. And, by the way, the Abraham Garrison who married Maria Brouwer is shown to have been a widower when he married Maria. This is not totally proven. |
