Notes for Milton Alvin Pierce

General Note
From the funeral program:

REMEMBERING THE LIFE OF...

Milton Alvin Pierce was born June

20, 1925, near Pelican Rapids, the son

of Leroid and Gertrude (Brown) Pierce.

He attended country school and worked

on area farms. Milton also drove truck

for a construction company. In 1944 he

joined the United States Army and was

wounded in April of 1945 in the Battle

of the Bulge. In December of 1945

Milton married Edvina Johnson. He

worked in the Ford Garage in Pelican

Rapids before moving to Pasco, Washington. In 1962 Milton

married Fredah Turner and she died in April of 1999. In

November of 1999 he married Lil Malone.

On Wednesday, June 4, 2003 Milton passed away at the VA

Hospital in Fargo, North Dakota at the age of 77 years.

He is survived by his wife: Lil Pierce of Chandler,

Oklahoma; 2 sons: Milo (Carolyn) Pierce and Milton Pierce, Jr.,

both of Vergas, MN; 2 daughters: Ann Louise (Frank) Spanjer of

Tacoma, Washington and Cindy (Gerald) Smoot of Kennewick,

Washington; 10 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchiidren; a sister:

Fern (Clifford) Hanson of Vergas; 2 step-daughters: Gay Lynn

Cowan and Paula Lacefield of El Reno, Oklahoma; and 4 step-

grandchridren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife: Fredah.
